Patrick TIERNEY married Margaret DILLON before 1870. I do not know whether it was in Mass or SF or somewhere in between. I first see him in SF.
Here are some of the addresses he lived at in SF:
In 1880: No. 35 White's Pl (between Bryant and Brannan at 6th)
From 1887 to 1890: 825 Brannan St.(Worked at 125 Bluxome St as a wool sorter for Moody and Knox)
In 1900: McLea Ct
In 1907: 435 Edinburgh ( I think it's him)
He was a laborer all his life.
His wife Margaret was the daughter of Julia (GREELEY) DILLON. Julia and husband Nicholas were from Athenry, Galway, Ireland. The DILLONS were in the iron foundry/ironmonger trade.
Julia's sister Mary married Richard J MEEHAN in Ireland. They had Richard who settled in SF (ironmonger)and Robert who settled in New York (ironworker).
Patrick and Margaret had Peter b 1871, Julia b 1873, John James (my Grandfather)b 1875, Maggy b 1878 d 1887 and Mary Ellen b 1879 d 1880. Can't track Peter or Julia.
John James married Margaret O'Shea abt 1898 in SF. They had Peter H b 1904 d 1925 William James b 1906 d 1982(my father) and Julia Ann b 1908 d 1964.
Their addresses were:
In Jan 1906 17 Rausch St (just before earthquake)
In 1910: 251/261 Boutwell St
In 1949: 450 London St
This is all I will send this way.
When the Dillons were in the 1860 census in Waltham, Mass, they had a boy named Timothy Gary living with them. Does that ring any bells?
