I wish I could edit my last statement. The biography must be in error. Conrad was the grandfather, I have no doubt of this. We have the will of Conrad and baptism record both for Jacob. Conrad was born about 1763. I have no record of any service in the Revolutionary War. If there was a John who served in the Revolutionary War, it would be a great grandfather, not grandfather. I have found no other record of another Stormfeltz family in Lancaster Co. which co-existed with Conrad's line.

I have a George R. Walzer, married to Mary R. Stormfeltz. They had several children: Genevieve, William, Harry, Elizabeth and Elliott. Genevieve married Raymond Sweeney; they had a son, Raymond, who was born 3/15/45 in PA; Prior to his death in 7/81, he was my husband; we had a son, Ryan James Sweeney (now age 24). Elizabeth married Carl Ekholm, etc., since you are an Ekholm, you know the girls.

I just found an obituary for a Jacob S. Hornberger that states that his parents were Samuel Hornberger and Catherine STORMFELTZ. Samuel and Catherine Hornberger are my 4Gr Grandparents. This is the first time that I have found a maiden name for Catherine mentioned in any records. I have found church records for the Salem Church in Kissel Hill, Warwick Twp. They document their burial in that cemetery. I've found the family in 1850, 1860, and 1870 census records in Warwick Twp. Catherine died in 1877 and Samuel in 1889. Does anyone know of a link to this Catherine STORMFELTZ and John and Sabina STORMFELTZ? Could Catherine be a daughter? Catherine's birthdate is 06 Sep 1814- 11 May 1877. Thanks.

That is correct. Catherine is John and Sabena's oldest child.

Wow- that is great! I have been searching for this information for a long time. How do you know that this is the correct Catherine? Is there a will or other documentation? I have been stuck on these two for a long time. I thought I would be able to find something out about Samuel Hornberger's parents before Catherine's. Still no luck on the Hornberger front. Thanks for the quick response!

I believe I have seen a baptism record for Catharine. Anyway, John Stormfeltz, was the only Stormfeltz married and having children in 1814.

Barbara Stormfeltz, a sister of Catherine married Jacob Hornberger. I would suspect he is a brother of Samuel F.

John Stormfltz had no will. His father Conrad left a will.

I have suspected Jacob to be a brother of Samuel. They are next door to each other in the census record of 1870 (or maybe 1860) but I don't have any proof of their relationship. There are a great many Hornberger's in Berks County, but have never found a connection to those families. Samuel F. Hornberger had a son, Jacob Hornberger, as well. Thank you for the info on the Stormfeltz connection. Now I have a new family to research. Can you point me in a good direction to search? I have ancestry.com and have seen a few family tree's on there including John and Sabina- but none that listed all of their children. Thanks again.
