Juli: Thanks for the reply. I been looking for cousins that are still alive, see if they can answer some of the Walls and Collings questions I like to know. What happen to the old Collings house that was by Stone cemetery? Dose any of the family live near by still? A couple of years ago I was in Joplin and did some family research at the libarary and found the book on Stone cemetery. LuLu was my great Aunt. My father Harry Walls moved to Calif in the 1930:s and had little contact with his family, he died when I was eight mounths, so I never got to know much about family history.

Went to Henry County, Virginia. Seems everyone there is a decendent of John Hickey, Bannister's Grandfather. He owned practically all of the county. Seems he made and lost and remade a fortune. The Library there had lots of Information about him. Didn't have much time to brouse but I was given lots of photo copies to peruse. They are still not sure that Mary his wife was a Middleton

Julia,

I would be very interested in the material you have on the Hickey lineage. Especially, Bannister's ancestors.

Wally

Banister Hickey was born 1803 in Henry Co VA. He died in Jasper co Mo. in about 1894 or 6. He was my mother's grandmother's grandfather. He lived his last years with his grandaughter my great grand mother. I don't remember a Hickey named Conelius. Try the Library in Henry County VA

I saw where you placed a post-em on one family tree on WorldConnect.

You might consider contacting these other researchers if you haven't already.

This one appears to have the most information:

Tennessee Ancestors, vol. 5, p. 126. 1814 bible record in possession of George Hickey.

This one doesn't have mention of a family Bible, but does have more children listed than most of the others.

You might want to check into DNA research. It should be more informative than looking for physical features that may have come from any combination of genes, including recessive ones.

I'm not sure how it would work, you don't know her maiden name and they usually only test males, I believe. You'd need her sons and their sons to present day.

Use a search engine such as google for more sources.

I imagine you really need to watch out for scams.
