Cousin Scott; the old Dawsey house on Hwy 90 west of Quincy is still standing and well taken care of by David Avant, whose family has owned the place since Thomas Dawsey(grandfather of Davis Abner Dawsey)sold it in Ca. 1830. I have actually hunted ther three or four times. The historical marker with the Dawsey name still stands out front.
