Hello I am a desendent of William and Louisa Hosley Chilson, Willis and Mahala Bump Chilson , William and Sarah Bump Chilson, Max and Leona Kemp Chilson, son of Wynn and Audrey Loud Chilson. We have been researching the family too. Rufus Hosley died in Smithfield, Bradford Co. 1853. William Chilson died Sept. 14, 1854, Smithfield, Bradford Co. Pa. We would like to find out what cemetary they are buried in. For some reason the Hosleys and the Chilsons moved to Hector Twp. Potter Co. Pa. 1855. One of William and Louisas' son Lyman D. Chilson, stayed with another resident of Smithfield,Pa., signed up for the 141, Company K. inf. died from measels @ 1861, in Virginia, Washington DC area. Louisa and the other children, William Alonzo, (I think died in Potter Co. Pa. @1870) , Eli Chilson, fought in the 2nd Reg. United States Sharpshooters Company C, along with brother Rufus Chilson, who died of the measels in @1861, Washington DC. area, Rufus Hosley, and Willian T. Hosley also fought in the same unit, until 1863 when they mustard out.In 1864 Eli Chilson signed up with the 105th. Company C Pa. Inf. mustard out in 1865.Orlando Chilson, Mary Chilson, Willis Chilson My Great Great Grandpa.Juliette (louisa) Chilson, Avery N. Chilson, Ella Chilson. I believe the last we knew, Louisa was on the farm in Ulysses,Pa. with her son Orlando,and brother Avery when she passed. Louisa Hosley Chilson is buried in Ulysses Cemetary, I've seen her stone, along with some of the other Hosleys. We live about 45 miles East of Uylesse Pa. in Nelson Pa. I would like to know, where the Chilson's lived before coming to Orange Co. NY. Also when the Hosley's and the Chilson's possibly came to America.
