I have been researching only a short time. Most of the information came from my mother's work. Her name was Jean Peary Mcglynn. Her father, my grandfather, Harry David Peary (b. 12/31/1891, d. 2/6/1970) He married Marguerite Adair Cherry. His father, my great grandfather, was James Willard Peary (b. 8/28/1859, d. 5/19/1915) He married Minnie Ellen Snyder. His father, my gg grandfather, was John Calvin Peary (b. 7/24/1824 d. 1/3/1862 during the Civil War of smallpox). He married Adaline Lamborn. Hang in there this is where it gets interesting...John Calvin's father, my ggg grandfather was James R. Peary (b.1801 d. 1863) married to Elmira Nutter.
It is possible but unlikely, since my mother was very careful and maticulous ,that she may have crossed some Peary lines. I know that her father spoke of accompanying his father to Cresson PA to visit family, more specifically, Charles. My mother also has in her notes however, that Amanda Kephart, daughter of John Calvin Peary said that her father's family was small and listed John Calvin as having only three brothers, James, Charles, and Robert. She said that He had only one sisiter. Hulda, who never married. If John Calvin was the son of the same James R you are talking about, wouldn't James R, have more children that what his daughter reports? Makes me go Hmmmm???
