Here is an interesting bit of information on the (Alpheus) Williams family - biographical, not genealogical. I have a copy of an article in the Pittsfield Sun about their house burning down in Lanesborough in 1828. This is from the online database "Early American Newspapers, Series I, 1690-1876," through a subscription to the New England Historic Genealogical Society. I can send the image to anyone interested.
