Dear Rita,
My grandfather was James O'Connell from Portmagee, 10 miles outside Caherciveen. He came to Bridgeport, CT in 1908. I don't recall if Fermoyle is on the Waterville side of Caherciveen or the Glenbeigh side. My greatgrandmother was Margaret O'Neill. I believe her uncle (maybe even her brother)Jeremiah O'Neill married a Catherine Clifford. Their daughter was a religious sister, Sr. Mary Bridgetine. I'm not sure if Jeremiah and Catherine immigrated here, but I do know their daughter entered religious life in 1898. She was born about 1855.
Think there's any connection?

Johanna O'Connell Reilly
