There was a census in Norway in 1801, the next was in 1865. That means if your Torgena was born in 1832 and left Norway in 1840 there are no census records.

Records of people leaving the country were not kept until about 1867, so there will be no emigration records either.

Without more info on Torgena, I doubt she can be found.
