What is the proper way to enter a title such as Captain into Family Tree Maker?

I think having thought this through a little more whether using "occupation" nor not, that I would use the title Captain, or First Mate, or whatever, as a FACT but not necessarily an Occupation fact [although in some cases that would fit such as "first mate" which would be the occupation] but not in most cases as part of the name.

Although I hope no one copies a few of the things I've put in suffixes just to differentiate people with the same exact name. Once I was checking something on a whole branch of my tree and put in "OK" temporarily so my sister could check if they were all correct; I then removed it. In between the time I put it in and she checked it, a few people had copied the people to their tree with OK as part of the name.

I guess my quibble with Captain as an "occupation" is that, captain may or may not be the occupation, and a person with the title CDR could have the occupation of captain.
