23andme just upgraded to a new version. FTDNA is doing same and they claim it should be complete by tomorrow but we will see. You can opt out of medical on 23andme and only test for genealogy. Just like you can opt out of ancestry's research project. Some people only test with one company so we loose matches. Ancestry's raw data is supposed to be no different than 23andme and Family tree accept not sure that ancestry is doing X chromosome raw data where 23andme and FTDNA do. Only 23andme has X chromosome matching unless you upload your raw data to gedmatch. With FTDNA the cool thing is they are collaborating with national geographic. However 23andme gives you a lot more DNA testing for $99 than any other company. You can always test at 23andme and transfer your results to FTDNA for more matches

Siblings will always share some same DNA and then some different accept for identical twins
