I had a similar situation. I made my tree public, only to have a person copy and then falsify the data they took from my tree. The took pictures and put someone else's name on them. I found out this person was a so called professional. I had to contact Ancestry . I had several correspondences with the person who took my data . Finally after saying I was going to look into legal action did she remove all of my data an pictures. I immediately made my tree private and only share with my family who are also doing research. We share with another. Thank goodness no false data is left for others to use either.
