Jesse Married Somebody or several somebodies none confirmed but Susannah Small is almost certianly not his wife) (She was married to a relative of his. a Jarmen)(Jesse had several Children that Wendel is associated with more research must be done to straighten this out)

Jesse Koonce was the son of Tobias Koonce. He would be your grandfather to 7th Great. Tobias
Koonce was Born: 1738 in NC He died abt. 27 Sep 1771. Onslow Co. NC.
He married Ann Gibson (Who may have been related to Martha Ann Gibson that Married Owen Thomas Koonce many years later in Kentucky)
Ann Gibson was born in Perquimans, NC, USA, D: Unknown but I believe around 1790 - 1795. (She remarried to a William Lipsey Aft. 1772 Jones Co., or Onslow Co., North Carolina)

Tobias Koonce was the son of George Koonce who was the son of Johann Koonce (Cunys). Who came to America in 1709.
John Koonce would have been your Great Great Great Great Great Great Great Great Grandfather.
If you want more information I would be glad to provide it. I am 59 this year and started my reasearch when I was 17. I like you knew only my Grandfather's name. Good luck being a daddy, it is the most important thing you will ever do. You are starting out right, those that say they know, say that knowing your herritage gives you a center in life. It makes us belong to a large picture. We of the Koonce family belong to a grand American family.
