scwbcm...got it. Sorry, the thread has gotten a little away from the original post, but still relevant. I did intentionally put this thread on dna general research where people are more likely to be weighing whether to take ancestry.com's dna (aka ancestry.com autosomal dna) test or a different test somewhere else. If we talk too much about autosomal dna itself, "someone" might move the thread and it will be less useful for those trying to decide, given other negative experiences, whether to do this test or a different kind of test or company!!

Also appreciate much Jim's posts and his indepth knowledge and experience in working thru this stuff that is so new!
