I have a Medal from South Africa with 4362 on the back, a roll of 'A coy' in his own handwriting dated 1898 when he was stationed in Buttevant also stating this number ( he was L-Corp at this time) plus his bible which states 2nd Cheshire Rgmt and again this number.
Please don't go out of your way to find him as I already 'have a man on the job'. If course, if you come across him in your travels I would be most grateful for any info you find.
