It may be what the "Sales People" and "Marketing People" are saying but the root of the program is more alligned toward "pure GENEalogy" with hacks to make it except some additional data. For that matter the program's origin is more alligned toward the LDS form of pure GENEalogy.
Don't misunderstand me I am not saying your approach is wrong, much of the work I do is not pure GENEalogy and includes "place studies" (FTM is not good at this), Name Studies (FTM does not handle names well either) and social/economic studies (FTM is not good with this either). My statement is purely about the FTM and what it has yet to achieve for it to be more than a "pure GENEalogical" application.
