King Follett was a distant cousin of my gggrandfather William Tillman Follett (b. 1819 in Phelps, Ontario, NY). King was a prominent member of the early Mormon Church and was close to Joseph Smith who is it's founder. He was born 26 July 1788 in Winchester, Cheshire, New Hampshire. He died 9 March 1844 in Nauvoo, Hancock, Illinois. Joseph Smith wrote a speech for his funeral that is called THE KING FOLLETT DISCOURSE. King was married to Louisa Tanner.He may have given his property to the church. I have more info if you need it.
