Agreed Brennancass, and this example is only the tip of the iceberg! You have to accept that some people who use Ancestry haven't the first idea what they are doing. As you say, they simply copy from other people's Public trees haphazardly. This is why sensible Ancestry members make there trees Private!
I had a similar problem last month. Someone had included my g-grandfather in her tree. She had him living in FIVE different places in each census and had 25 children! I messaged her pointing this out and received a very rude reply ending with: "You take care of yours, and I will take care of mine."!!! 'Ignorance is bliss'?
