Ulrich is as you say. But Michael of Spring Garden isn't his great grandson.

Michael of Spring Garden, York, PA was born abt 1798 and died between the 1860 and 1870 census. His father was John born between 1770 and 1775 in Berks County, PA.

The only grandson of Ulrich (imm 1727) that comes close to fitting the description of Michael's father is Johannes (John) Shallenberger, son of Jacob and Magdelena (Lehman) Schellenberger. Johannes was born 1769 in Lancaster County, died 1852 in Fayette County,PA. He married Catherine Lutz and moved to Fayette County, PA. According to his will he had 9 children: Daniel, John, Elizabeth, Mary, Sarah, Dorothy, Susan, Barbara, and Catherine. All were in Fayette County.
