I'm looking for other info on John Hood of Roane County, Tennessee. He is on the 1840 Census of Pensioners for Military Service. He is age 78 at this time. He is also on the Roane County, Tennessee USGenweb page under "Revolutionary Soldiers Buried in Roane County - buried in Wolf Creek Grave Yard." I can't find a Revolutionary War pension file for him. What other records can I look for? Also could he possibly be the John Hood that does have a pension file from Fentress county, Tennessee.
