Ongoing search for any information on my ancestor, James Andrew Smith. Many confusing and conflicting stories exist. I've been doing this for 10 years, so I might have seen it already, but anything is appreciated.
b. Sept., 1755, location unknown, probably Loudoun Co., VA, enlisted in Rev. War in Frederick, MD, also served in VA., md. 1783 Loudoun Co., to Margaret TRUAX, moved to Adair Co., KY, died Gibson Co., IN, 1838.
Served in 1776 Flying Camp, and 2 more tours in MD., dates unknown, but probably 1777-1778, Officers: Valentine Creager, Philip Smith, Rezin Beall, William or John Carmack
