I am looking for information on my 5th great-grand father, John Sutton. He was from England and came to America through New York in 1755. He served in the Revolutionary War - but I don't have any information about where he would have "enlisted" or his "regiment". He moved to Jackson County, NC after the Rev War and married Aggie Lossiah - a full blooded Cherokee Indian. Where can I look for information about his war service and any other information about his family.
