Seeking George Allen, a wagonmaster who was captain and conductor of a team brigade under James Thompson, Wagonmaster General in the New Jersey Militia. The team brigades hauled cannon balls and supplies for troops in the Rev. War. My ancestor, William Roark, said that an uncle had "got him off from further service" as a soldier to work as a teamster. I'm trying to find out if George Allen was that uncle. Any help or clues appreciated.
