Searching for Phillip Vincent Vass, Spotsylvania, VA

Surnames: Vass, Mead, Meade
To complete a DAR application documentation of descendants of Phillip Vincent Vass (died after 1834), of Pike Run, Spotsylvania County, Va. is needed.
Phillip Vass married Susannah Mead/Meade.
A list of his children is all that is needed. I have checked countless books in this search, but so far no positive proof has been found. We are hoping to find proof to link Henry Vass (1799-1857) as son of Phillip, then the chain of connection is complete.
So far the will of Phillip Vass has not been found.
Any and all suggestions welcome!
