Das Militär-Garnisonshauptspital I befand sich im 9. Wiener Gemeindebezirk zwischen der Sensengasse und der Van-Swieten-Gasse hinter dem Josephinum. Zu diesem Spital gehörte auch das „Offiziersspital“ in der Sensengasse. Vorgänger war der „Kontumazhof“, ein Krankenhaus für ansteckende Krankheiten, das später in ein Armenhaus umgebaut worden war.
