Thanks for that Jeff.I have the info on Frederick and photos show the Boer War medal. We are trying to determine the bars on the medal at the moment but the photo is poor quality. I live near the Wiltshire Regimental Museum, I have tried them several times in the past and they aren't very helpful. As you quite rightly said, many records were destroyed.
