I’m sorry but your post appears to be a statement, was it supposed to be attached to another thread or is there a question?
If your looking for records it could be a challenge trying to pin him down, at the moment there are more questions than answers.
Do you know if he with an Anglo Force – British Army [or Naval Brigade], a Commonwealth/Colonial Contingent or a locally recruited Colonial Force, or with the Boers – Commando, Foreign Corps, etc?
Do you have any evidence to support your claim –medals, discharge documents, letters, etc?
Where do you think his family was living in 1901? How old was he in 1901?
