can any one help trying link J W Poolman with the Boar war. I know from his WW1 join up papers he had been a BUgle major in the 1st ? KOYLI. He disapeared from the 1901 cencus with his wife as head of household, he was away in the army, and in 1916 he was invilied out of the army age 51 with severe arthoritis but it also mentions a bout of maleria that he originaly contrated in South Africa.
