Hello Nikki,

I am sorry to say that I can't find a record for a Charles George Fowler.

I first checked the Attestation forms, there were over 120 men with the surname starting with F, but no Fowler.

I then checked the Nominal Rolls to see if he was listed, there are some Attestation forms missing, however again he wasn't listed..

Between 1899 and 1902 about 3,300 men joined the RPR.. the numbering system is a little 'interesting' but I haven't ever come across any numbers in the 4,000..

Nikki I am up at the National Archives next week and can check again, but can I ask you what is your source for the 4362 or 4312?

What I can do is see if he has a Medal Card... as I said there are a few missing Attestation forms..

Hope to hear back from you..

Best regards, Malcolm
