None the less - of the 17 F Berry Soldiers found only one was a sergeant.

The 6th Battalion was a part time Militia battalion of the regiment and was formerly known as the 1st, or Royal East Middlesex Regiment of Militia

No 4307 Frederick Berry bc 1854; Parish Hoxton, London, Middlesex.
Last name: BERRY
Attested into 4th Battalion Middlesex Regiment aged 34 yrs 6mths 7 Nov 1888.
Served from 1888 until November 1900 discharged as sergeant.
Papers states he had previously served for 12 years with the ? Dragoon Guards (year of discharge masked by paper fold).
