Thank you so much ron for your reply my GG grandfathers name was Andrew Robinson he became a sargent and a chelsea pensioner was pensioned off to Limerick ireland in 1846. i have his army records but do not tell me much ie were he was born in st cuthberts ect i know it says on his record that he distinguished hisself so i guess he got a medal of some sort.
i would appreciate any info you can find on him.
