The book "THE 116th BATTATION IN FRANCE"* may be of interest to those researching WWI/CEF ancestors who enlisted in the 180th Battalion in Ontario. CEF Canadian-based battalions were often incorporated into others once they arrived overseas.

This book describes in general detail battles of this battalion, including the one in which Private B.J. Brown was killed.

Private Benjamin Joseph Brown, Reg. #863115 was the son of Benjamin Joseph Brown, (1858-1922) & Barbara McCurry, (1858-1928) of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He is listed in the Honor Roll (p.99) of this publication.
