Proving an Individual Casualty

I am new to F&I War research. I have a person of interest on a muster roll from "Rolls of Conn Men in the F&I War" dated 3 May 1759. Admin was granted on his estate in Mar 1761, so he died between those dates. Family stories say he died in battle on or near Lake George (NY). The actual Battle of Lake George was 1755, so it wasn't due to that. Are there any sources that would be likely to list individual casualties, or are there regimental histories that might indicate his regt (Conn 4th) was engaged near there between those dates?
