Maj. Gen. Neil McMicking's Book: The Officers of the Black Watch 1725-1952, page 60 has the following listing:
"MACINTOSH, ALEXANDER; Lieut. from half pay 1756; wounded at Ticonderoga 1758; and again at Martinique 1762; Captain 24th July 1762; half pay 1763; killed with the 10th Foot 1776."
Baule and Gilbert- Britsh Army Officers Who Served in the American Revolution, page 122, say he died of wounds received at the battle of White Plains with the 10th Regt. on either 28 October or 17 November 1776.
