Thanks for info. Will try your suggestion. Frustrating dealing with French Military/ French Military Archives/ French Military Attache at NYC Embassy.They just simply ignore messages. Very sad in light of the fact my Grandfather eventually died from the effects of the gassing he received to free France from the Germans. Also the other wounds he received in battle made the last few years of his life very painful. Grandfather volunteered to fight at 28 years old!
