Indian Attacks in 1759

Hi,
My grandfather died 25 Feb 1759. One family member said they think he was killed by Indians.
Does anyone know if there are any records of Indian attacks in the Illinois Country, probably around Fort de Chartres and Kaskaskia during this time period?
