Hello

I found listings for both Albert and Désiré Harnétiaux in a French prisoner of war database for the 1914-1918 war. (I am a member, so it did not cost me an extra fee to look-up this data.):

Nom : HARNETIAUX
Prénom : Albert
Nombre d'individus : 1
Année : 1916
Type d'acte : Liste de prisonniers
Commune : Eglosheim
Source : Prisonniers de la 1ère guerre mondiale

Nom : HARNÉTIAUX
Prénom : Désiré Nombre d'individus : 1
Année : 1915
Type d'acte : Liste de prisonniers
Commune : Minden
Source : Prisonniers de la 1ère guerre mondiale

Then, I looked-up the original records. I found them in the « Gazette des Ardennes », published on 21 August 1916:

(German POW camp:) Ludwigsburg, Elgosheim:
Harnétiaux, Albert; Bruays-Escaut (Nord); inf. 259. (page 3)

(German POW camp:) Minden
Harnetiaux, Désiré; Wiers (Belgique); terr. inf. 2. (page 5)

Note: I cannot tell if the places listed after their names are where they were born (which is normal), or if it is where there infantry corps were organized.

If you would like images of their names from the original listing, I can send it to you. (I think the image of the full pages will be too large, more than 10MB.) Let me know if you are interested in them.

Bien amicalement !
