Hello again, was Richard awarded any medals for his service? I have had a quick look on the Imperial war Museum website although found nothing. Could you send through the documents of Joseph Brown? I have not found record of his parents so my family tree begins (or ends?) at him for that line. My grandmother has no memory of her father Richard so any information is new to us, I look forward to hearing from you again.
