Surnames: Rothenhofer
I have 2 possible relatives from the town of GUntersleben in Bavaria (near (Wurzeburg) listed on a wall of German soldiers in the Catholic Church in that town who died in WW2. THeir names are Oswald Rothenhofer and Franz Rothenhofer. Oswald's dates are Oct. 12, 1922 and died Aug. , 1942. Franz' dates are Oct. 28, 1909 and died July 1, 1944. I wrote to teh Deutschedienststelle (WASt) in Berlin and their reply is that I have to prove that I am and how I am related to them. But, that's what I'm trying to find out -- if they are possible relatives to my Lorenz Rothenhofer who was born in this town on Dec. 15, 1815. Any help would be most appreciated.
