My Friedrich Wilhelm Klein was born in Drengfurth, East Prussia, now N Poland, on 28 Apr 1837 (I think) and died 20 Feb 1885 in Saarbrucken. He is buried in Ehrenthal, the heroes' cemetry in Saarbrucken. Family folklore is that he was a mounted hussar, as the family remember a photo of him in uniform on a horse. I am attaching another photo of him in uniform - my husband thinks he is wearing cavalry boots.
