Sgt. Major Phillip R. Albert, 41, of Terryville, Connecticut.
Albert was onboard an MH-53 helicopter conducting combat operations when it crashed in Afghanistan. He was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 87th Infantry Regiment, 10th Mountain Division, Fort Drum, New York. Died on November 23, 2003.
Staff Sgt. Leroy E. Alexander, 27, of Dale City, Virginia.
Alexander was killed at Forward Operating Base Orgun-E in Afghanistan when his convoy vehicle was struck by an improvised expolsive device. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 7th Special Forces Group, Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Died on June 3, 2005.
Spc. Thomas F. Allison, 22, of Roy, Washington.
Allison was on board the MH-47 aircraft that crashed at sea in the southern Philippines. He was assigned to the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment, Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Died on February 21, 2002.
Cpl. William M. Amundson, Jr., 21, of The Woodlands, Texas.
Amundson died in Afghanistan when the vehicle in which he was riding rolled over. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, Fort Benning, Georgia. Died on October 19, 2004.
Spc. Marc A. Anderson, 30, of Brandon, Florida.
Killed in action in eastern Afghanistan during Operation Anaconda. Died on March 4, 2002.
Spc. Lisa M. Andrews, 24, of Lenexa, Kansas.
Andrews was on leave from her unit when she was struck and killed by a civilian vehicle as she was walking across U.S. Highway 69 near Overland Park, Kansas. She was assigned to the 129th Transportation Company, U.S. Army Reserve, New Century, Kansas. Died on September 26, 2003.
Chief Warrant Officer David Ayala, 24, of New York, New York.
Ayala died in Ghazni, Afghanistan, when the CH-47 helicopter he was on crashed. He was assigned to the 5th Battalion, 159th Aviation Regiment, 12th Aviation Brigade, Giebelstadt, Germany. Died on April 6, 2005.
Sgt. Maj. Barbaralien Banks, 41, of Harvey, Louisiana.
Banks died in Ghazni, Afghanistan, when the CH-47 helicopter she was on crashed. She was assigned to the Division Artillery, 25th Infantry Division (Light), Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. Died on April 6, 2005.
Sgt. Michael C. Barry, 29, of Overland Park, Kansas.
Barry died as a result of injuries sustained while a passenger in a vehicle that was struck by another vehicle in Doha, Qatar. Barry was assigned to the 205th Medical Battalion, Missouri Army National Guard, Kansas City, Missouri. Died on February 1, 2003.
Sgt. Bobby E. Beasley, 36, of Inwood, West Virginia.
Beasley died in Ghazikel, Afghanistan, when his vehicle struck an improvised explosive device. He was assigned to the Army National Guard's 3rd Battalion, 116th Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade, 29th Infantry Division (Light Infantry), Winchester, Virginia. Died on August 7, 2004.
Sgt. Jay A. Blessing, 23, of Tacoma, Washington.
Blessing died of injuries sustained from an improvised explosive device in Asadabad, Afghanistan. He was assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 2nd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, Fort Lewis, Washington. Died on November 14, 2003.
Spc. Curtiss A. Carter, 25, of Lafayette, Indiana.
Died in Kuwait. Died on February 27, 2002.
Sgt. First Class Victor H. Cervantes, 27, of Stockton, California.
Cervantes died in Orgun-e, Afghanistan, when he came under small arms fire while on patrol. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne), Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Died on June 10, 2005.
Capt. Jeremy A. Chandler, 30, of Clarksville, Tennessee.
Chandler died in Tarin Kowt, Afghanistan, while he was conducting training operations at Forward Operating Base Ripley. The incident is under investigation. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group, Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Died on August 11, 2005.
Sgt. 1st Class Nathan R. Chapman, 31, of San Antonio, Texas.
Died in Afghanistan. Died on January 4, 2002.
Sgt. Steven Checo, 22, of New York City, New York.
Checo was killed in action when his unit came under attack from hostile forces. Checo was a member of the 504th Infantry, Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Died on December 20, 2002.
Staff Sgt. Craig W. Cherry, 39, of Winchester, Virginia.
Cherry died in Ghazikel, Afghanistan, when his vehicle struck an improvised explosive device. He was assigned to the Army National Guard's 3rd Battalion, 116th Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade, 29th Infantry Division (Light Infantry), Winchester, Virginia. Died on August 7, 2004.
Master Sgt. Herbert R. Claunch, 58, of Wetumpka, Alabama.
Claunch died in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, after collapsing on the floor in his quarters. He was assigned to the Army National Guard, 217th Military Police Company, Prattville, Alabama. Died on April 18, 2004.
Spc. Brian M. Clemens, 19, of Kokomo, Indiana.
Clemens died as a result of a High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle rollover. He was assigned to C Company, 1-293rd Infantry, Fort Wayne, Indiana. Died on February 6, 2003.
Staff Sgt. Shawn M. Clemens, 28, of Allegany, New York.
Clemens died west of Ghazni, Afghanistan, when a weapons cache prematurely exploded. He was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 87th Infantry Regiment, 10th Mountain Division, Fort Drum, New York. Died on January 29, 2004.
Spc. Anthony S. Cometa, 21, of Las Vegas, Nevada.
Cometa died in Safwan, Kuwait, when his HMMWV rolled over. He was assigned to the Army National Guard's 1864th Transportation Company, 106th Transportation Battalion, Henderson, Nevada. Died on June 16, 2005.
Pfc. Matthew A. Commons, 21, of Boulder City, Nevada.
Killed in action in eastern Afghanistan during Operation Anaconda. Died on March 4, 2002.
Capt. David S. Connolly, 37, of Boston, Massachusetts.
Connolly died in Ghazni, Afghanistan, when the CH-47 helicopter he was on crashed. He was assigned to the Army Reserve’s 1173rd Transportation Terminal Battalion, Brockton, Massachusetts. Died on April 6, 2005.
Spc. Robert J. Cook, 24, of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin.
Cook died west of Ghazni, Afghanistan, when a weapons cache prematurely exploded. He was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 87th Infantry Regiment, 10th Mountain Division, Fort Drum, New York. Died on January 29, 2004.

Craig died as the result of an explosion during explosive clearing operations in Qandahar, Afghanistan. He was assigned to 710th Explosive Ordnance Detachment, San Diego, California. Died on April 15, 2002.
Spc. Richard M. Crane, 25, of Independence, Missouri.
Crane died in Kandahar, Afghanistan, of non-combat related injuries. He was assigned to the Army Reserve’s 325th Field Hospital, Independence, Missouri. Died on February 8, 2005.
Sgt. Bradley S. Crose, 22, of Orange Park, Florida.
Killed in action in eastern Afghanistan during Operation Anaconda. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, Hunter Army Airfield, Georgia. Died on March 4, 2002.
Master Sgt. Jefferson D. Davis, 39, of Clarksville, Tennessee.
Died in Afghanistan. Died on December 5, 2001.
Spc. Robert W. Defazio, 21, of West Babylon, New York.
Defazio died in Kandahar, Afghanistan, of non-combat related injuries. He was assigned to the 23rd Ordnance Company, Miesau, Germany. Died on April 24, 2005.
Pvt. Jerod R. Dennis, 19, of Oklahoma.
Dennis died of wounds sustained during a firefight with enemy forces in the vicinity of Ne Shkin, Afghanistan. Dennis was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment, Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Died on April 25, 2003.
Spc. Isaac E. Diaz, 26, of Rio Hondo, Texas.
Diaz died in Sharona, Afghanistan, when his military vehicle rolled over. He was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 27th Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division (Light), Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. Died on December 1, 2004.
Spc. Jason A. Disney, 21, of Fallon, Nevada.
Disney died shortly after sustaining injuries when a piece of heavy equipment fell on him at Bagram Air Base, Afghanistan. He was assigned to the 7th Transportation Battalion, Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Died on February 13, 2002.
Staff Sgt. James P. Dorrity, 37, of Goldsboro, North Carolina.
Dorrity was on board the MH-47 aircraft that crashed at sea in the southern Philippines. He was assigned to the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment, Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Died on February 21, 2002.
Pvt. James H. Ebbers, 19, of Bridgeview, Illinois.
Died in Djibuoti, Africa. Died on October 14, 2002.
Ranger Spc. Jonn J. Edmunds, 20, of Cheyenne, Wyoming.
Edmunds was a passenger in a Blackhawk helicopter that crashed in Pakistan. Died on October 19, 2001.
Capt. Daniel W. Eggers, 28, of Cape Coral, Florida.
Eggers died in Kandahar, Afghanistan, when his vehicle hit a land mine. He was assigned to 1st Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne), Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Died on May 29, 2004.
CWO2 Jody L. Egnor, 32, of Middletown, Ohio.
Egnor was on board the MH-47 aircraft that crashed at sea in the southern Philippines. He was assigned to the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment, Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Died on February 21, 2002.
Sgt. Michael J. Esposito, Jr., 22, of Brentwood, New York.
Esposito died in Dehrawood, Afghanistan, when his team came under small arms fire while clearing a village. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 22nd Infantry Regiment, 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry), Fort Drum, New York. Died on March 18, 2004.
Staff Sgt. Christopher M. Falkel, 22, of Highlands Ranch, Colorado.
Falkel died in Deh Afghan, Afghanistan, where his unit was conducting combat operations and was engaged by enemy forces using small arms fire. He was assigned to 1st Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group, Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Died on August 8, 2005.
Maj. Curtis D. Feistner, 34, of White Bear Lake, Minnesota.
Feistner was on board the MH-47 aircraft that crashed at sea in the southern Philippines. He was assigned to the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment, Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Died on February 21, 2002.
Spc. Kelvin E. Feliciano-Gutierrez, 21, of Anasco, Puerto Rico.
Feliciano-Gutierrez was a .50 caliber gunner on a vehicle that was returning from patrol when it veered off the road and turned over in Orgun-E, Afghanistan. Feliciano-Gutierrez suffered fatal injuries while trapped under the vehicle. Feliciano-Gutierrez was assigned to Headquarters Company, 3rd Battalion, 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment, Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Died on June 28, 2003.
Spc. Kyle Ka Eo Fernandez, 26, of Waipahu, Hawaii.
Fernandez died in Miam Do, Afghanistan when an improvised explosive device detonated near his dismounted patrol. He was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 5th Infantry, 25th Infantry Division (Light), Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. Died on October 14, 2004.
Capt. Michael T. Fiscus, 36, of Milford, Indiana.
Fiscus died in Kabul, Afghanistan, when a mine detonated near his military vehicle. He was assigned to the Army National Guard’s 76th Infantry Brigade (Separate), Indianapolis, Indiana. Died on March 26, 2005.
Cpl. Jacob R. Fleischer, 25, of St. Louis, Missouri.
Fleischer died on in Deh Rawod, Afghanistan, when an improvised explosive device detonated near his unit. He was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 5th Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division (Light), Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. Died on November 24, 2004.
Sgt. Ryan D. Foraker, 31, of Logan, Ohio.
Foraker was reported missing from his unit in Guantanamo, Cuba, on September 24, 2002. Exhaustive ground, sea, and air searches were conducted in an effort to locate him but were unsuccessful. Foraker's clothes and personal effects were found near the water's edge, leading the investigating officer, absent any evidence to the contrary, to determine that Foraker had died in the waters of Guantanamo Bay. An extensive criminal investigation uncovered no reason to suspect foul play. Foraker was assigned to the 342nd Military Police Company, U.S. Army Reserve, Columbus, Ohio. Declared deceased on November 1, 2002.

Foshee was on board the MH-47 aircraft that crashed at sea in the southern Philippines. He was assigned to the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment, Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Died on February 21, 2002.
Cpl. Dale E. Fracker, Jr., 23, of Apple Valley, California.
Fracker died on in Deh Rawod, Afghanistan, when an improvised explosive device detonated near his unit. He was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 5th Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division (Light), Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. Died on November 24, 2004.
Cpl. David M. Fraise, 24, of New Orleans, Louisiana.
Fraise died in Kandahar, Afghanistan, when an improvised explosive device hit his patrol. He was assigned to Company A, 2nd Battalion, 35th Infantry Regiment, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. Died on June 7, 2004.
Sgt. Gregory M. Frampton, 37, of California.
Died in Afghanistan. Died on January 30, 2003.
Spc. Daniel J. Freeman, 20, of Cincinnati, Ohio.
Freeman died in Ghazni, Afghanistan, when the CH-47 helicopter he was on crashed. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 508th Infantry Regiment, Camp Ederle, Italy. Died on April 6, 2005.
Staff Sgt. Kerry W. Frith, 37, of Las Vegas, Nevada.
Frith was on board the MH-47 aircraft that crashed at sea in the southern Philippines. He was assigned to the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment, Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Died on February 21, 2002.
Spc. Chad C. Fuller, 24, of Potsdam, New York.
Fuller was on patrol in Shkin, Afghanistan when his squad was attacked. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 87th Infantry Regiment, 10th Mountain Division, Fort Drum, New York. Died on August 31, 2003.
Staff Sgt. Justin. J. Galewski, 28, of Kansas.
Galewski died as the result of an explosion during explosive clearing operations in Qandahar, Afghanistan. He was assigned to 710th Explosive Ordnance Detachment, San Diego, California. Died on April 15, 2002.
Sgt. Daniel Lee Galvan, 30, of Moore, Oklahoma.
Galvan died in Salerno, Afghanistan, when the helicopter he was in developed mechanical difficulties and crashed. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion (Assault), 25th Aviation Regiment, 25th Light Infantry Division, from Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. Died on August 12, 2004.
Pfc. Damian J. Garza, 19, of Odessa, Texas.
Garza died in Jalalabad, Afghanistan, when his vehicle left the road and went into a river. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, Fort Benning, Georgia. Died on August 4, 2005.
Sgt. Christopher P. Geiger, 38, of Allentown, Pennsylvania.
Geiger died of a non-combat related cause in Bagram, Afghanistan. Geiger was assigned to the 213th Area Support Group, Allentown, Pennsylvania. Died on July 9, 2003.

Died in Afghanistan. Died on January 30, 2003.
Sgt. Benjamin L. Gilman, 28, of Meriden, Connecticut.
Gilman died west of Ghazni, Afghanistan, when a weapons cache prematurely exploded. He was assigned to 41st Engineer Battalion, 10th Mountain Division, Fort Drum, New York. Died on January 29, 2004.
Staff Sgt. Shamus O. Goare, 29, of Danville, Ohio.
Goare died while conducting combat operations when the MH-47 helicopter that he was aboard crashed in the vicinity of Asadabad, Afghanistan in Kumar Province. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne), Hunter Army Air Field, Georgia. Died on June 28, 2005.
Sgt. Nicholes D. Golding, 24, of Addison, Maine.
Golding died in Ghanzni, Afghanistan, as a result of an AT-46 (anti-tank) mine explosion. He was assigned to Company C, 2/87th Infantry Regiment, 10th Mountain Division, Fort Drum, New York. Died on February 13, 2004.
Cpl. Billy Gomez, 25, of Perris, California.
Gomez died at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Landstuhl, Germany, from injuries sustained when his vehicle struck an improvised explosive device on October 20, 2004 in Naka, Afghanistan. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 27th Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division (Light), Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. Died on October 27, 2004.
Spc. Rodrigo Gonzalez-Garza, 26, of Texas.
Died in Kuwait. Died on February 24, 2003.
Chief Warrant Officer Corey J. Goodnature, 35, of Clarks Grove, Minnesota.
Goodnature died while conducting combat operations when the MH-47 helicopter that he was aboard crashed in the vicinity of Asadabad, Afghanistan in Kumar Province. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne), Hunter Army Air Field, Georgia. Died on June 28, 2005.
Staff Sgt. Robert S. Goodwin, 35, of Albany, Georgia.
Goodwin died in Shkin, Afghanistan, when his patrol vehicle was ambushed by enemy forces using small arms fire and rocket-propelled grenades. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group, Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Died on September 20, 2004.
CWO Travis W. Grogan, 31, of Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Grogan died in Bamian, Afghanistan, when his contract aircraft crashed. He was assigned to the 3rd Squadron, 4th Cavalry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division (Light), Schofield
