David Edward Owens Jr., 20, of Winchester, Va., died of wounds received in action on April 12 in central Iraq.       <description>Tuesday, May 24, 2005&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;By Jack Kelly, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;A Pennsylvania Army National Guard soldier from Butler [Pennsylvania] was killed by a suicide bomber in Iraq on Sunday.  Sgt. Carl Morgain, 40, was in the turret of his Humvee outside an Iraqi police station when a suicide bomber in a taxi pulled near the vehicle and it exploded.&lt;br&gt;Three others guardsmen and four Iraqi policemen were slightly injured by the blast.  Morgain was a member of A Company 12th Infantry, based in Butler [PA]. The unit is part of task force Dragoon, which has been in Iraq since December and assigned to the 3rd Infantry Division. near Saddam's home town or Tikrik.  Sgt. Morgain had joined the Pennsylvania guard in June 2000. He had served in the active army from 1982 to 1986.  In civilian life, Morgain was a communications specialist for T.W. Phillips Gas and Oil Co,. of Butler.  Morgain is survived by his wife, Janice, 40, a stepson, Zachary Taylor Macurak, 17, and his mother, Carol Fay Morgain.  Janice Morgain is the head of a group known as Support Operation Soldier Butler, which has raised thousands of dollars to send monthly care packages to soldiers in Iraq.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;</description>
