William L. Carpenter served from 02 Nov 1950 to 01 Aug 1952, Army 24th Infantry Div. 21st Regiment, Korean War. Rank at discharge: Corporal.

His first combat assignment was near a hill called "Old Baldy".

Training: Camp Atterbury, Indiana with the 628th Tank Battalion, Company B.
