Deciphering Address Help?
My father, Richard John Durkin served in the Merchant Marines in the 40's. I have an address for him in 1945 and was wondering what the abbreviations meant..hoping it would give me some clues. I believe he was aboard a cargo ship and I know the route was up and down the Alaskan coast line.
The address: F.S. 38-A.T.S. APO 939
C/O H.Q.S. Seattle, Washington
The Headquarters, I get but the rest is Greek to me..any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you,
