DETAIL: I am researching my father's second world war record and wondered
whether you could help me or put me in the right direction I have a copy of his records but I would like to know what ships he was on and where he was after that. The information I have is

George John Smith born 8th February 1923 joined the Royal Engineers in March 1939. (he said he was 17 but he was actually 16) Gunner Marine RA 2083175 (Lewis Gunner) (3rd Maritime Regt) Royal Engineers 330th Coy 32nd (7th City of London) AA BN March 1939
1939 - 43 Star PT 11.44 3 Regt Mar
35 RA T/Regt Field Regt

He was on the Atlantic Convoys to Murmansk and he also went to the Pacific. He was also stationed in India.
He was awarded Atlantic Star, Pacific Star with Burma Clasp and War Medal 1939/49.
