Continuation:
I am loading this new information to my family tree. My grandmother always went by the name of Narcissa Fierro; I have only recently known of the name "Silerio". My grandmother Narcissa was born on January 1, 1890. Her brother, our "Tio Fierro", was born on September 20, 1903. His name was Ignacio Fierro; referred to in the other posting in this thread ("Hello" to Michelle Fierro!!).
My mother Eleanor always told me that her mother Narcissa told her that she did have many brothers (most of whom died in Mexico) and one sister born her mother Narcissa. The one sister passed away at a young age due to some tragedy in her marriage, or so the story went...My mother only remembered the name "Eraclio" and we all grew up with her other uncle, "Tio Fierro" is how we all knew him. He was Ignacio Fierro.
My mother also told me a story about a picture they had of her mother, Narcissa's father, Ignacio Fierro, Sr. (not to be confused with our Tio Fierro). They called him "Santa Claus" because he had light eyes, white hair, and a white beard. Mom also told me that Narcissa wanted to be buried with that picture of her father in her grave. So, who knows what happened to our great grandfather, "Santa Claus'" picture!
So, my great grandfather Ignacio Fierro (Sr.) and his wife Maria Silerio did have mostly sons and two daughters. They had children in 1881, 1883 (the one other daughter, Franca), 1885, 1887, 1890 (my grandmother Narcissa), and 1903 (Ignacio Fierro). It would seem they had other sons between Narcissa and Ignacio, but I am sure happy to learn this much more information after searching since 2002.
