Royal Artillery - Charles Brichen/Brichin

I've been looking for evidence of this ancestor's military career and recently received a military document stating the following: (46) C Troop - gunners - Brichin Charles Gr - age 22 - height 5ft 7-1/2" - inlisted 20 Mar (17)95 (no mention of where) - Bo. Scotland (nation), Aberdeen (county), Milnback? (city or town), Breen (parish), Mason (trade). Can read and write, fair complexion, dark hair, hazel eyes. - Mustered - 1st Battalion, Troop F. 1 June '99. Transferred to Corps G (?Div) .. (I can't read) 1 Oct 1804.

I believe a son George was born in England abt 1799 and another son Henry in Ireland abt 1808. In their various marriage and death certificates, it states that their father was in the Royal (Horse) Artillery and he was described as Sergeant and Quartermaster Sergeant. Can anyone please suggest how and where I can further search. A trip to London some years proved unavailing and costly.
