My uncle Mr. Julius Kert, born Sep 28, 1913 served as a British Merchant Marine during WWII. He is Estonian. He joined British Merchant Marine Service in 1939. His ship was sunk on the coast of France either in 1942 or 1943 and he was taken prisoner by Germans. My uncle is 92 years old and lives in Long Island, New York. His memory is failing, but he thinks that the name of the ship was "Dover Hill".
I'd be very very thankful if I could find more information about him or the vessel he was serving on. To my understanding he was a sailor.
Hoping for clarification and any reference to this matter.
