I am looking for information on Thomas Chicken c1776-1855. He is listed on the 1841 & 1851 cenus as a Greenwich Pensioner.

I obtained a copy of a document from TNA that shows his admission into Greenwich Hospital & details his age(64), service (10y 6m) date of entry 18/06/1840, when granted pension (1814) & amount (9) along with the remarks he suffered from Asthma.

I am aware that he served on HMS Raisonnable based @ Sherness Harbour Kent England in 1812 as his daughter Mary Ann b1812 (my 3x gt grandmother)is listed as being born on board the ship.

I am now at a lost as I would like to find out more details of his navy career but do not know where to start.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Tracey
