Seek info re: Lt. John R. (Jack) Meiers, pilot lost over Italy 1944

Lt. Jack Meier(s) b. Cincinnati 1922 was my mother's third cousin. I seek any information about him. At this point I know only that he was in the U.S. Army Air Corps and was MIA on a mission over Italy in 1944. His immediate family is deceased. I hope someone out there remembers Jack who lost his life at such a young age.
